Telehealth Instuctions

Dear Patients,

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, patient appointments are being conducted via telehealth.

Before your appointment, you will receive the link via text message or email when the provider is ready to see you. Simply click on the link, and be sure to enable the microphone and your camera on the device you are using.

You must be connected to a secure network, and check that your camera and microphone are working. We ask that you are available in front of your computer or phone at the start of your appointment and remain seated in front of the camera and microphone so that we are able to hear you and provide the best possible service.

As in a normal medical office setting, you may have to wait a few minutes for the provider to become available. Your copay will be required to be collected before your visit.

Danica Oparnica

I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner and am currently in my 33rd year of practice with a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Nursing and membership in the Nurse’s Honor Society. I love what I do and take a genuine interest in my clients. It is very fulfilling to watch people get better and attain their highest level of functioning. I use a collaborative approach with my clients and strive for excellence. Although I am trained in therapy and always do some counseling when I see patients, my specialty areas are diagnosis and medication management. I am board certified in psychiatry.

I see patients with all diagnoses but especially like to work with bipolar disorder, PTSD, ADHD and depression/anxiety. In my early career I was fortunate to have had two exceptional mentors. I believe in “payback” so I now mentor NP interns with whom you may be scheduled. I always supervise these visits and the treatment planing.

I like working with the LGBT community who all too often have lost family ties and support. I also have experience working with veterans who are suffering from PTSD and get great satisfaction helping them to deal with and tame the torments from which they may be suffering.
