Danica Oparnica
I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner and currently in my 40th year of practice. I have a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Nursing and am a member of the Nurse’s Honor Society. I love what I do and take a genuine interest in my clients. It is very fulfilling to watch people get better and attain their highest level of functioning. I use a collaborative approach with my clients and strive for excellence. Although I am trained in therapy and always do some counseling when I see patients, my specialty areas are diagnosis and medication management. I am board certified in psychiatry by the ANCC. I am doing only Telehealth currently.
At NP Psychiatry, we strive to practice the old fashioned way, getting to know our clients, giving them ample time to explain their issues and teaching them about their illness. We see our clients for 90 minutes on their first visit and 20-25 minutes on every follow up visit. We offer psychotherapy for 55 minute sessions.
I see patients with all diagnoses but especially like to work with bipolar disorder, PTSD, ADHD and depression, LGBTQ community and veterans who are suffering from PTSD.
